Kite-surfing is an extreme sport, and if you don’t know what you are doing, it can be dangerous for yourself and others!

The Kite Doctor will teach you the necessary know-how to safely operate a kite.
Beginners will learn the very basics of kite-surfing, including tips and tricks on how to safely prepare, operate, and maintain your equipment, how to choose the correct kite size for you, kite control, positioning in the power zone (wind window), water and wind currents, different weather conditions in general, and many more. You will also learn the different maneuvers including launching and landing, crashing and re-launching your kite, turning, and self rescue.

Beginners usually need 3 hours on land to learn the basics. The land lessons are a prerequisite for getting on the water. During your first lesson on the water you will learn how to body drag (control the kite to drag you through the water. Now you’re ready to get on the board!

Learning how to kite-surf can be an easy and fun experience with an experienced, fun, and of course, certified instructor!

You don’t have your own equipment? No worries, the Kite Doctor will provide you with all the equipment you need! Make sure to bring sunblock, sunglasses, and drinking water to your lessons!

NOTE: It generally takes new riders approximately 6-10 hours to pick up the basics of kite surfing. All lessons depend on weather conditions: Wind has to be blowing onshore from NNE, NE, E, SE, SSE over 13 and under 21 MPH. *NEVER Kite in Offshore winds!!
